CLIENTS: JOHN KRESKY

John Kresky, the CEO of Summit K12 and a passionate advocate for education, enlisted my expertise alongside another graphic designer to reimagine the company’s logo and email signatures. He sought a minimalist aesthetic that honored the original designs while embracing innovative ideas.
Inspired by the original concept and the hidden bear in the Toblerone logo, I crafted a logo that seamlessly integrates these elements. The mountain range’s prominent highlight subtly reveals an abstract bird with wings spread in flight, symbolizing the freedom and independence that knowledge imparts, leading to enlightenment and educational growth. This hidden figure embodies the idiom “Spread your wings and fly!” It represents the journey towards self-sufficiency, confidence, and exploring new opportunities. As students spread their wings, they harness their abilities to achieve remarkable feats, like a fledgling bird leaving the nest to soar into the sky, ready to embrace the world and its boundless possibilities.
The email signature designs for Summit K12 exemplify the company’s unwavering dedication to recognizing and celebrating educational excellence. Each concept features a badge-like design with distinct icons and titles that signify various professional accolades and roles within the academic community. For example, the Certified ELD Educator badge design stands out with its sunburst design and a star positioned atop a rugged mountain peak. This signature design represents a pinnacle of expertise in English Language Development education. It underscores the educator’s role in empowering students to achieve linguistic proficiency.
These visually appealing graphics not only enhance email communications but proudly display the bearer’s qualifications and accomplishments, reinforcing Summit K12’s commitment to educational excellence and professional development.
